Hemp Milk

Raw shelled hemp seeds are rich in omega-3s and omega-6s, and have more than 10 grams of protein per 3-tablespoon serving. This milk has a bit of a nutty flavor. Refrigerate any hemp seeds not used
to make the milk and use them over cereal, sprinkled in salads, or added to smoothies.

Steps

1
Done

In a high-speed blender, combine the hemp seeds, water, and salt.
Blend on high speed for about 1 minute until well blended.

2
Done

Place a cloth flour sack, nut milk bag, or double layer of cheesecloth over a large bowl.
Pour the blended mixture into the bag.
Give the sack a good squeeze to push the milk into the bowl.

3
Done

If you’d like to make this sweet, pour the strained milk back into
the blender and add the dates and vanilla. Blend on high speed for
2 minutes, or until there are no visible date pieces.

4
Done

Transfer the milk to a pitcher with a lid and refrigerate for up to 5 days.
