Cupcakes (Cookie Dough Surprise)

Mix all of the filling ingredients together in a medium mixing bowl.
Form the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet.
Put them in the freezer for 2 hours.

Preheat the oven to 350 °F/176 °C.
Put paper liners in the muffin tins.

In a large bowl, whisk together the cake mix, buttermilk, oil, eggs and vanilla extract.
Fill the muffin cups two-thirds full of batter.
Place a cookie dough ball in the center of each cup.
Bake 17 minutes. Let the cupcakes cool.

Make the frosting. In a medium bowl, whisk the butter and sugar until creamy.
Mix in the milk and vanilla extract. Remove the cupcakes from the muffin tins.
Use a spatula to frost the cupcakes.
Top with chocolate chips.
